Teller/Member Service/Consumer Loan Processor Representative

Job Purpose:

A finance professional responsible for helping fulfill the banking needs of their members.

Job Duties:

  • Primary responsibility is member service,
  • Perform duties based on credit union policies and procedures,
  • Cash handling and processing teller transactions,
  • Process minimum to high level task related to member credit union account,
    • Open/Close accounts,
    • Answer and resolve questions regarding account activity,
    • Sell and service credit union products,
    • Complete basic data-entry and administrative duties,
    • Use applicable software to assist members make financial decisions.
  • Obtain information and supporting documents to process consumer loan applications,
    • Process loan applications,
    • Research and correct mistakes in applications for members,
    • Review file documentations for missing or erroneous mistakes,
    • Disburse loan proceeds,
    • Meet loan processing deadlines.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Verbal and written communication.
  • Thorough understanding of the loan process.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of banking and financial services operations.
  • Excellent time management, ability to work with strict deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Ability to multitask processes.
  • Must be able to be bonded.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
