The Nominating Committee has placed the following members of the District of Columbia Teachers Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors on the ballot, for the upcoming Annual Meeting to be held, Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 3:15 P.M., University of the District of Columbia/Community College – Bertie Backus Campus, 5171 South Dakota Avenue, NE, Washington, D.C. 20017.

In accordance with Article VI, section 2 of the bylaws – during the Annual Meeting — nominations from the floor will not be accepted. Everyone who plans to attend our Meeting must bring their DCTFCU I.D. Card and/or a Driver’s License and be prepared to present it to gain admittance.

Board of Directors

William Bailey* — retired from the District of Columbia School System after 28 years of service. His outside activities include work with the Kiwanis Social Club and Men’s Chorus at Gethsemane Baptist Church. He is currently Chairman of the Building Committee of the Credit Union. I am also, a proud grandfather of three girls, all whom are members of the D.C. Teachers Federal Credit Union.

Lester W. Jones* — a retired DC Public Schools’ Principal, has served as an elected member of the D.C. Teachers Federal Credit Union’s Credit Committee for over 20 years and currently serves on the D.C. Teachers Federal Credit Union Board of Directors and Chairman of the Credit Committee. Mr. Jones’ experiences with the board and committees include: Past President of the local chapters of the National Community Education Association, Past President of the local chapter of the American Asso-ciation for Adult and Continuing Education and member of Mid Atlantic Community Education Consor-tium to name a few. Currently, Mr. Jones is serving on the Prince Georges County Board of Election Supervisors and has served on several committees of the International Association of Clerks, Record-ers, Election Officials and Treasurers. Mr. Jones is also a Certified Elections/Registration Administrator awarded by the Election Center and Auburn University. Mr. Jones, PHA, Shriner, Kappa Alpha PSI, retired Master Sergeant of the U.S. Army, holder of many decorations including three Bronze Star Medals, the Air Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Combat Infantry Badge and Master Jump Wing.

Tamika (Tami) L. Taylor-Dyer, Esq.* — Mrs. Taylor Dyer, a graduate of the University of South Carolina (Bachelor of Arts History and Political Science) and Howard University School of Law, is an Associate General Counsel at the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority, where she works primarily on litigation matters. Prior to her employment with the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority, Mrs. Taylor Dyer was employed as a civil litigator, at Thompson O’Donnell, LLP and in her own small practice, where she handled diverse and complex civil litigation with emphasis on defense in the areas of personal and professional liability. In her legal career she has had several jury and bench trials and appeared in various types of hearings. Mrs. Taylor Dyer is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia local and federal bars.

While litigating cases, Mrs. Taylor Dyer also was an adjunct professor at the David A. Clark School of Law where she taught Lawyering Process, a required first year course which instructed students on basic research methods, how to analyze legal questions, and the various forms of legal writing to include case briefs, office memoranda, demand and opinion letters, motions and appellate briefs. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., and works diligently in the community on a number of other civic matters.
