Protect Your Identity and Enjoy the Holidays

Tis the season for holiday shopping!

During this busy time of year, you should take extra steps to protect your identity. Here are a few tips to help protect you from criminals and scammers.

  1. Be careful shopping online. Use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols for your passwords.
  2. Carry one credit or debit card in your wallet at a time. You will only have one card to keep track of and replace if you ever have a bad experience.
  3. Keep your PIN a secret. Hide the keypad when entering your PIN at a store or ATM.
  4. Check your accounts frequently. Review your transactions to make sure there aren’t any unauthorized purchase.

If you believe your information may have been stolen, contact your credit card and financial institutions.
